Dear Varsity Captains/V-Captains/Team Managers
We are pleased to announce that, with the continuous support from OSA, 100 places at Ridge View Residences (RVR) have been reserved for athletes committing to Year Round Training (YRT). The RVR scheme aims to ensure that your on-campus accommodation needs are taken care of if you do not have sufficient CCA points for re-admission to halls, because of your commitment to YRT.
This scheme may not concern you if you choose to remain in the current hall that you’re residing in and have the sufficient CCA points to do that. Ultimately, we hope that you would be able to commit to YRT and excel in your sport - for yourself, the team and the University.
Although the RVR scheme is primarily designed for the teams on YRT, we welcome any individuals with great aspiration in other varsity sport teams to apply. National athletes are also welcomed to apply for RVR if you think it will help you balance your academic and national commitments better. In either case, all you need to do is to attach your personal YRT with the application form.
If you are interested in the scheme, please submit the attached application form to SRC Sports Development Office (thru your sports officers) by 5 March 2008. The form can also be obtained from SRC Sports Development Office.
